This section is aimed at those people interested to follow developments in the legislation that has been introduced which will require that anyone in the UK wishing to publicly market their property will be required by law to have a Home Information Pack produced by a certified professional. These requirements are made under the Home Information Pack Regulations 2006.
Home Information Pack Regulations 2006 - An Introduction
On 1st June 2007, the government will enforce its new regulations relating to the requirement for property vendors to instruct the production of a Home Information Pack (HIP) before publicly marketing their home. The aim of this scheme is to reduce the number of property deals that fall through at the last minute due to a latter stage realisation on the purchaser's side that the property / deal is not as they first thought.
